Rustic Savor

I was watching Seinfeld the other day.  It was the episode with the calzones.  The idea of calzones tingled my taste buds.  It made Heath’s mouth water too so he made calzones for dinner tonight.

Parker hates calzones.  Actually, Parker hates just about anything we make him for dinner so I’m impressed he ate the peanut butter and honey sandwich I made him as well as all the carrots.

From peel to rack to plate.  It was sooooooooooooooo good!

The crust was crispy, crunchy on the outside and chewy, soft on the inside.  All warm and comforting.  Perfectly seasoned with garlic and a mixture of wheat and white flour.

The chicken was tender and juicy.  Tomatoes and ranch sauce (light so it’s more healthy!) gave it that kick of flavor.  Bacon and monterey jack cheese for that sinfully decadent touch.  Ooey gooey goodness stretching with every bite and landing on your chin.  One bite and you don’t even talk.  Eyes close, the world melts away, and you savor the moment.

May all your dinner dreams come true.
